Valve & Piping Asia Pte Ltd associated member of the Melchers Group
We are very happy to announce that in C. Melchers GmbH & Co., Singapore Branch has taken up a significant minority stake in Singaporean registered company Valve & Piping Asia Pte Ltd (VPA); effective August 2021.
Valve & Piping Asia Pte Ltd, located at their own offices in Bizhub 28, will continue to be run as a separate and independent business unit under the leadership of Mr Don Tan and Mr Vincent Ng, who remain the majority shareholders.
Mr Tan and Mr Ng have built and managed the company over the last 15 years to become a notable player in the business of selling pipes, valves, fitting and flanges, both in Singapore and the ASEAN region. The company has built up strong relationships with core clients in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Ship Building, Marine, Water Treatment and Construction. They bring to their clients a competitive combination of piping products manufactured by renowned manufacturers – leveraging on each of their strengths. They have successfully supplied and executed multi-million-dollar packages to the shipyards and EPCs in Singapore and the ASEAN region.
Alexander C. Melchers, Managing Director of Melchers Singapore, will join the Board of Directors of VPA.
Melchers Group considers this a strategic acquisition to increase its footprint in the Oil and Gas and Ship Building industries in Singapore and ASEAN and will support Mr Tan and his team to further expand the business both in the existing territories and in South East Asia. Melchers Group is organized as a holding organisation; VPA will grow organically while having access to the organisation and infrastructure of the Melchers Group in Asia. The range of services and products offered by VPA are highly complementary to the activities of the Melchers Group.
